The French classes that we offer are held in our Berkeley house, in a cozy environment. Classes are small and personal, averaging five to eight students. They are scheduled at different times of the day and evening, to accommodate the students’ time requirements.
Emphasis is placed on the spoken word, with a textbook and CD used to supplement instruction. The teaching method is based on the “Connexions” textbooks (Editions Didier) that have been designed particularly for adults. The goals and contents of “Connexions” are closely related to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), a result of extensive research, conducted by the Council of Europe and adopted at the beginning of this millennium.
